ApplyPilot Privacy Policy

ApplyPilot helps job applicants streamline the tedious process of completing repetitive application forms on job boards and company career portals. We place user privacy at the foundation of our engineering:

• Zero Monetization: We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information or application data.
• Strict Local Architecture: All form intelligence and auto-fill processes occur entirely on your local machine within the browser runtime.
• No Account Required: You do not need to register an external account with ucdreams.com to use the ApplyPilot extension.

ApplyPilot processes and stores information strictly on your local device using Chrome’s secure sandboxed chrome.storage.local API. This data includes:

• Profile Information: Personal names, contact email addresses, phone numbers, location, and social links (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, Portfolio URL).
• Application Documents: Resume PDF files and attachments (stored locally as Base64 data arrays directly on your machine).
• Custom Snippets: Saved cover letter variations, tailored pitch paragraphs, and answers to common job screening questions.
• Custom Fields: Dynamic custom input labels and keyword-matching rules created by you for specific job boards.

When you open ApplyPilot while viewing a job application webpage:

• DOM Analysis: ApplyPilot inspects DOM elements (input field IDs, names, placeholders, and associated labels) on the active tab solely to identify relevant form inputs for auto-filling.
• User-Initiated Autofill: When you click “Autofill Page” or drag a resume card onto a file dropzone, ApplyPilot injects your locally saved data into the corresponding input fields on that specific webpage.
• No Passive Tracking: ApplyPilot does not monitor, record, log, or store your browsing history, internet traffic, keystrokes, or activities across unrelated websites.

I maintain strict boundaries regarding third-party interaction and external dependencies:

• No External Analytics: ApplyPilot contains no tracking scripts, telemetry agents, Google Analytics, or external advertising SDKs.
• Manifest V3 Compliance: ApplyPilot strictly complies with Google Chrome’s Manifest V3 security standards and executes zero remote code, remote JavaScript, or external WebAssembly.
• No Third-Party Data Sharing: Under no circumstances is user data shared, sold, transferred, or distributed to third-party data brokers or marketing networks.

You maintain complete ownership and control over your data at all times. Because your records are held locally in your browser sandbox:

• Direct Management: You can edit, update, duplicate, or delete any profile, resume, or custom field snippet directly in the ApplyPilot side panel at any moment.
• Instant Deletion: Uninstalling the ApplyPilot extension from your browser immediately and permanently erases all locally saved profiles, resumes, and custom fields from your device.
